Excellent food and great employees. This small diner is the best place for breakfast and always expect your mug of coffee to be full. Customer service is always wonderful and the employees make this place! Love this place and that it has a small town feel.

Cook's is a very popular place, especially at breakfast on weekends . We have eaten there many times in the last 10+ years. Today I tried something different - Strawberry and banana French toast. It was delicious! I'm not usually a sweets eater and it wasn't! Just right, not syrupy sweet. Highly recommend.

The local, hometown staple for comfort breakfast and lunch food. Homemade corned beef hash is some of the best I've tried. Service is terrific and they enjoy taking care of their people.

This place is great, one of the legit "diners" in Lincoln. I always want to try more lunch items but it's hard to get away from the breakfast menu. They have cooks that know what they're doing and cook all the breakfast staples like a pro. Come early or late if it's a weekend as they usually have em lined up, and don't miss the chicken fried steak.

Me and my boyfriend moved to the area recently and stumbled across cook's cafe. We were so impressed by the price, quality, and quantity along with the amazing staff that it's our regular spot now! Tha k you for being amazing. We just love family owned places.

Be prepared to leave stuffed!!! I love this little corner mom & pop cafe!!! Such friendly staff, even when they are busy they get us in quickly, food homemade, just pure delicious!!!

I have been attending cooks cafe for years now. I enjoy the small town feeling it has. People of all ages show up and its wonderful. Still to this day, people remember my very first meal that i had. I am often asked if i want my original walking through the door. Always a treat to bring someone new through the doors.

I am in love with this place. So far best little cafe I've come across in Lincoln. Small town atmosphere in the city. The staff is friendly, prices are reasonable, portion sizes are good and the food tastes great. My 12 yr old son says he wants to become a "regular" there.

Been coming here for years each and every weekend. I have been to a lot of breakfast places and I can say this place has the best food and service of anywhere I have ever been. This is the only place where your food always comes out hot and fresh from the kitchen and will steam the entire time you eat it. I can’t say enough good things about cooks cafe.

Good little place for a quick bite.

Above average neighborhood cafe. We had a standard big breakfast with eggs, kielbasa, crispy hash browns and toast. All nicely prepared and as homey as could be. Current owners there since 2014.

They will prepare your food fast. Food was great! They always have a line on the weekends when I have gone there; so be aware of that. But it's worth the wait.

This is the perfect breakfast spot. Always busy but tables turn quick. Good filling breakfast options for under $10, unlimited coffee refills, and playful wait staff.

Big portions. Puts Highway Diner to shame

Very good. First visit for us before seeing my mom in rehab (medical amputation). Had the country boy. Everything was good. Will stop again.

Good food, cozy atmosphere. They were very busy but the wait wasn't too bad (about 10 minutes). The servers were very nice. They serve all menu items all day. Prices are very reasonable (our entire check including drinks was $34). We had a reuben with fries, a hot beef sandwich, and the NY strip with eggs. All were very tasty and the steak was cooked properly. Steak was from a local meat market. Coffee was excellent and they refilled very frequently. Any time a server carrying a coffee pot walked by they asked if you wanted a refill.

Been coming here for over 4 years and absolutely love it every time we come for breakfast or brunch. We will be eating here for as long as we live in Lincoln.

Great food, amazing staff that make you feel like family and reasonable prices. We try to come at least every weekend. Conversations are great, weather you're having them with your server, the owner or with the tables next to you. They really do make you feel welcome. If you arrive and there's a wait, just wait it's worth it.

Great little greasy spoon diner. Food is always fantastic, and is reasonably priced. My kids love eating there, and usually get the Mickey Mouse-shaped pancakes and hot chocolate. Servers are quick and on-the-ball. Friendly, open atmosphere.

The food? Fantastic. The service? Wonderful. The atmosphere? Small town Republican. It's the best Cafe in Lincoln, NE, period. You can feel the western cafe in it. It's like they have draws for horses and a cattle drive through town every hour they're alive. Sorry HiDi 😞

Well it would be nice if the website didn't say open while the restaurant was closed. They are doing construction yet it still says open, I don't understand that.
